How to Update Google PlayStore.
Updated: Jul 8, 2020
A little about the video.
This video was shot over 2 years ago. If I had known that it would blow up the way it did, attracting over 1,000,000 views, I'd have cut most of the stuff out and would've jumped straight to the point. So, Let's do that here.
How to get the latest update?
• There are 2 ways of doing it.
1. Triggering the PlayStore to update itself.
It's pretty simple. As shown in the video at [ 1:12 ] you just have to click the hamburger menu and scroll down until you find settings. And under settings, click on the PlayStore version. This should trigger the PlayStore to update itself in some time.
All in all,
PlayStore --> Hamburger Menu --> Settings --> PlayStore Version.
2. Manually sideloading the latest APK.
This requires a few additional steps when compared to the first one.
First, you need to download the latest PlayStore APK which is Compatible with your device.
[ Note: The compatibility of the APK depends on your phones Android version. If you don't download the APK compatible with your device, you might run into ' Parsing Error ' or, ' Package not installed ' error. ]
How do I get the latest APK?
You can search for the latest APK on Google or, also go on APK Mirror to get the latest PlayStore APK.
• Once you have the latest APK downloaded, all you need to do is install the APK and your PlayStore will be up to date.
